she/her/they/them

For Nic, what first began as a fascination with plants and fungi has evolved into a lifelong study of Chinese medicine. She sees healing as a holistic practice that includes the mind, body, and spirit, and works as a facilitator of this process. She holds a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine from Daoist Traditions College in Asheville, NC, where much of her education was informed by the teachings of Jeffrey C. Yuen, who comes from a Daoist lineage and is an ordained priest of two traditions of Daoism, the Jade Purity and Complete Reality schools.

Nic understands that one individual’s wellbeing is inextricably connected to the health of that person’s community, and to the social, cultural, and natural environments in which we all reside. Nic feels that working within the community clinic model is a fulfilling way to contribute to both individual resilience and our collective healing and liberation.

Nic dreams of a world where we all have our healthcare needs met, regardless of socio-economic status, and they are passionate about making healthcare and Chinese medicine accessible to all. Chinese medicine continues to withstand the test of time, and Nic is excited to help her patients integrate this ancient practice into their wellness routines.

When they’re not in the clinic, Nic is likely reading by a river, dancing, gardening, playing in the forest, or cooking up something delicious and nourishing in the kitchen.
