Paul Barros, L.Ac.
Paul graduated from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, North Carolina, and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Paul has also completed programs in western herbalism at The Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine where he apprenticed under Corey-Pine Shane.
Paul is committed to providing the best care he can by designing individual treatments for his patients, and continuing his education in the area of Chinese Medicine and herbalism.
Paul’s goals are excellence in health care, education, and cultivation in order to grow with his community and patients into a more embodied, robust and prosperous society. He sees his role as helping people to participate in their healthcare in a way that is empowering and exciting, and that will bring forth strength for the neighborhood and the surrounding ecosystem.
Paul believes that it is the fundamental theories of Chinese medicine, theories that are rooted in the natural systems of the earth, that have made Chinese Medicine so timeless and effective. Paul believes that happiness and harmony are simply emergent properties of a deeper perspective that is rooted in these natural systems, the same natural systems that inform the foundations of our medicine.
Paul lives off grid in the woods with his partner and children. In his spare time he is committed to his martial arts practice in jiu jitsu and boxing.
