Jennifer E. Burnett is a nationally certified Acupuncturist (NCCAOM). She received her Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. During her educational endeavors, Jennifer received a scholarship for high academic achievement in herbal medicine.
Jennifer has a wide range of professional experience and interests. She is particularly interested in OB/GYN, addressing hormonal imbalances, infertility, and menstrual irregularities.
During her clinical experience, she has gained extensive experience in gerontology, oncology, and pain management. In addition, Jennifer has an interest in treating cancer patients using acupuncture as an adjunct therapy to western medicine for the relief of side effects such as insomnia, fatigue, and depression.
Jennifer is a native Texan, who now calls Asheville her home. Her ultimate mission is exemplified through her work, which is to provide comprehensive holistic healthcare.
Jennifer strongly believes that the body has an inherent ability to heal and that by maintaining a balance of body, mind and spirit, one will be able to live their life to the fullest. Her goal is to be a facilitator to that process, using a variety of effective therapeutics. Jennifer’s compassionate nature, healing hands, and strong educational background enable her to accomplish this mission through every patient she encounters.
Acupuncture and Chinese herbs are the cornerstone of Jennifer’s treatments but she also utilizes western herbs, nutritional guidance, and massage in her treatments. Combining the tools and wisdom from the East and West, Jennifer offers truly holistic health care.
Rachel Davis is nationally certified by the NCCAOM in both acupuncture and Chinese herbology. She graduated with a Masters in Oriental Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, NC. Her education included extensive training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, as well as Western medicine. At Daoist Traditions, Rachel also had the opportunity to study with 88th generation Taoist priest, Jeffrey Yuen. His teachings not only provided her with deeper insight into Chinese medical theory, but also revealed to her that practicing medicine is truly an art of compassion.
Rachel Davis has her BA in Communication Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Before attending acupuncture school, she also completed a full pre-med course load with a 4.0 GPA. Ultimately, she decided to pursue a career in Chinese Medicine because of the successes she had experienced with it as a patient.
Rachel has experience treating a variety of disorders, but has chosen to specialize in gynecology and obstetrics. She can work with couples in helping them achieve conception, in treating conditions of pregnancy, in helping to promote and ease labor, as well as in postpartum recovery.
In her practice, Rachel strives to balance compassion with intelligence. She has chosen to practice community-style acupuncture because she feels it is a necessity that we all “be the change we wish to see in the world.” She brings brightness to her work that she hopes can illuminate the healing potential within each of her patients. |
