Asheville Community Acupuncture

Your Role

Responsibility.

Asheville Community Acupuncture does not provide primary care medicine. Chinese Medicine is an ancient system of medicine and cannot provide modern diagnosis for serious conditions. Acupuncture can treat many things, from colds and flu to pain and chronic disease, but if you have serious health problems, you need to
also see a primary care physician (MD, ND, or DO). We are here to help you with your health, but we are unable to take complete responsibility for your health.

Commitment.

Acupuncture is a process. More than one treatment is needed to resolve the majority of problems. The number of treatments needed will vary from patient to patient, depending on the problem. Typical protocols can be, for example, three times a week for several weeks, or once a week for many months. On your first visit, your acupuncturist will suggest a course of treatment that is appropriate for you. The purpose of our sliding scale is to help you make that commitment.
